Baked Gnocchi Recipe Named "Sorrentina"

Ingredients: serves 4

Homemade Gnocchi

    - 2 lb. (kg.1) potato gnocchi homemade or store bought
    - 12-16 leaves of basil
    - 7 oz (gr.200) mozzarella cheese, best of course buffalo's
    - 3 cups (ml.700) tomato sauce
    - Parmesan cheese



Preparation: easy with store bought gnocchi

Prepare gnocchi potato following my recipe How To Make Gnocchi, or buy them ready to cook. Also prepare a fresh Tomato Pasta Sauce.

TIP!
Remember to take care to throw the gnocchi in boiling salted water a bit at a time, so not to lower water temperature.

Gnocchi are ready when they start floating on the surface, about 2 minutes. Then drain well gnocchi and toss with tomato sauce into a baking pan. Add mozzarella and Parmesan.

(1) dice the mozzarella, (2) gnocchi are ready when floating, (3) add tomato sauce

(4) mix tomato sauce, (5) add diced mozzarella, (6) add grated Parmesan

How to bake:

The ideal time will depend on the power of your grill; I say that they will be ready when Parmesan cheese is gratin and you will have achieved a beautiful hazel.

At gratin occurred, remove your homemade "Gnocchi alla Sorrentina" from oven and serve hot decorating the dish with 3-4 leaves of fresh basil on each plate.
