Italian Clay Cooking Pots PIRAL

PIRAL is the most popular Italian brand of clay cooking pots in Italy today.

There are NO doubts that these pots are the best for cooking Italian sauces, soups, stews, beans or stockpot.

It becomes almost indispensable and ideal for a slow cooking Italian sauce such as ragù alla bolognese meat sauce.

PIRAL Stockpot

The greatest value of PIRAL terracotta cooking pot is that the heat spreads from the bottom to the sides of each item, so that a gradual, and above all, homogeneous cooking process is guaranteed.

Moreover there are some PIRAL items that can also be used as serving plates, because they preserve food at an ideal warmth.

Every single piece of PIRAL is designed to become a useful furniture element for each and every kitchen with different colors such as red, orange, white, green and so on.

TIPS & care information!
I recived this question from Carl (US):

"We got Piral baking dishes for Christmas but no instructions. Can you tell me how to use them? Can they be used in the oven and at what temp? How do I use them for the first time? How do I break them in? Thanks for your quick answer Carl."

Attilio's reply:
There aren't any particular care information for Piral pots and baking dishes. You can put PIRAL directly on the flame or electrical plate, in the oven and microwave because they receive a glazing treatment at 1800°F (1000°C). They can also be easily washed in any dishwasher, and can be treated as any other kind of pan, pot or skillet. They aren't fragile as they look unless you drop them on the floor!

This interesting video was broadcast from Italian national TV RAI 1 Linea Verde program.

(Sorry for Italian spoken but you'll get the idea anyway...)

Everything is produced in the factory placed in Albisola Italy, not far from Genoa city.

The workers use their great manual ability in each and every step, both in sticking handles and enamelling.

Finaly Italian gastronome Marco Fiore shows how to use and cook with PIRAL pots. Make a step forward cooking your Italian sauces, soups and stews at the best level as Italians do.
