Try it and if you like vodka you'll love this pasta recipe even more... Penne vodka can be prepared either white with the addition of a bit of tomato paste and that is the classic recipe. But yesterday I opted for a variant, penne with vodka sauce and caviar.
Ingredients: serves 4
(if you don't have penne use another type of short pasta and simply call them pasta alla vodka) - 3/4 cup (180ml) good Vodka - 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream - 2 Tbsp (30g) butter - 2 oz (60g) caviar - salt, pepper Preparation: easy 20 min1. Start melting the butter in a pan. 2. Add the vodka to the pan with melted butter and allow to soften for 1 minute. 3. Add now the cream, salt and pepper and cook over low heat for several minutes.
4. Meanwhile, cook the penne in salted water until al dente, drain and pour into the pan with the vodka sauce. 5. Stir the penne alla vodka in the pan and add the caviar and mix gently so as NOT to break the eggs of fish. 6. Serve penne alla vodka with a sprinkling of pepper and a teaspoon of caviar.
