My Best Romantic Dinner Recipe
With Pasta That I Ever Made!

Rose Petals Fetuccine

romantic dinnerThis is one of my best romantic dinner recipe that I ever made and you don't have to wait Saint Valentine's day or any other
special occasion to make it.

A romantic dinner is always special, it's when you are seated relaxing and enjoying an evening meal at home or in a local restaurant.

It's when a look pass between you and the eyes of your beloved, through the weak candlelight. Those whispered words makes you feel excited, and after all it's when that romantic atmosphere makes it all happen.

veniceNot long ago, I went with my beloved for a candlelight dining in a pretty Italian restaurant in Venice.

We ate a pasta dish called rose petals fettuccine, and we were so delighted to make me ask for the ingredients.

I thought for an instant that it could be easily made either at home, so I brought this magic recipe with me and once back home I made it...

You would like to know how the story ends?

Well, believe me or not, this recipe is really for your beloved, it's your romantic dinner recipe indeed. You will make it all happen!

Ingredients: serves 2

WARNING
Make sure that the roses are edible (fit to be eaten) treated with NO pesticides. You will use them as ingredient and for garnish.
2 tbsp (gr 28) unsalted butter
7 ounces (gr 198) heavy cooking cream
1 tbsp (ml 15) extra-virgin olive oil
6 ounces (gr 170) dried fettuccine pasta
4 ounces (gr 113) ham fully cooked
2 pink edible roses
pinch of salt

Preparation: easy 25 minutes

First you have to buy 2 very fresh pink roses at your local supermarket.

Had you never thought about that we eat flowers?

They are often used in kitchen as basil, broccoli florets, jasmine, mint, rosemary and violets are just some common kind.

"Lets begin that your beloved is waiting!"

1. You have to clip and discard bitter white bases from the rose petals; then rinse the petals thoroughly and drain. Remember to keep aside a few for garnish and cut all the remaining petals into small pieces.

2. Bring 2 quarts (3¼ pt) (lt 2) of water to a boil. Meanwhile, finely dice the ham and place over the stove a frying pan within the butter, olive oil and the diced ham. Fry lightly to brown and then blend in the heavy cream.

3. At the first boiling of mixture add the pieces of petals and adjust with a pinch of salt. Drain the pasta and transfer it back to the cooking pan and mix well.

4. Garnish with the remaining entire petals that you kept aside and serve immediately. No cheese is required for this romantic dinner recipe.
