Homemade Turkey Meatballs RecipeUsually we don't think that white flesh is suitable for preparing meatballs. These homemade meatballs are very Italian style because there's the addition of mortadella and salame. Even those are optional ingredients they do make difference in taste from other types of meatballs recipes. It's quit easy once you have mortadella, salame and authentic grated parmiggiano.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60g) grated Parmigiano cheese - 3 oz (85g) mortadella - 2 oz (60g) salami - 1 small onion - 1 bunch of parsley - bread of a sandwich - 1 egg - dry white wine - - a little flour - frying oil - piece of butter - salt, pepper Preparation: about 45 min1. Soak the bread in milk, then chop mortadella and salami with the ground turkey. Put the mixture in a bowl, add chopped parsley, onion, Parmigiano cheese, bread soaked and wrung out by the milk, salt and pepper and mix everything with the egg. 2. Once you have mixed all well you'll end up with a compound ready to be shaped in meatballs. 3. So from the mixture form in your hands round shaped balls and after roll them in the flour.
4. You will make about 10 turkey meatballs depending on how big you make them. 5. Put a frying pan on the stove with a piece of butter and a few tablespoons of frying oil, lay down side by side the meatballs and fry on low heat stirring frequently. Once browned enough, moisten with a little white wine and cook completely (about 30 minutes). 6. The taste is great served as a main course with potatoes or salad.
